Coral Shores IS old Florida. This is one of the more popular neighborhoods for anyone who has a boat, wants a nice home that’s not overly done and wants to avoid HOA fees. Most every home in Coral Shores is located on a canal, and the canals feed out into Sarasota Bay. This is a neighborhood filled with quintessential old Florida block homes, many of which have been updated on the inside. It’s a really cool neighborhood.
Coral Shores is filled with homes that are original construction dating back to the late 1960s-early 1970s and more recent. Some have actually been demolished and replaced by newer construction, and some fall in between with the structure of the home in its original state and the interior updated. Like other homes built in this same timeframe, the square footage may seem modest, but the layout makes them seem larger. Canals wind through the neighborhood creating the backdrop and direct access into Sarasota Bay which is a major draw for boat owners.
Coral Shores is for the person who wants to be near the water, possibly has a boat, and wants a laid-back, easy Florida lifestyle.
