Perico Bay Club Homes for Sale in Bradenton, FL

Perico Bay Club is a guard-gated community in Northwest Bradenton, just before the bridge to Anna Maria Island. It offers a mix of condos and villas surrounded by water, mature tropical landscaping, ponds and mangroves.

I've sold several properties here, and there's something about Perico Bay Club that feels different from the minute you drive through the gate. The entrance and winding drive remind me of arriving at a resort near the beach. It's lush, quiet and very Florida.

The Feel

Water and nature are a big part of Perico Bay Club. Depending on where you are in the community, homes may overlook ponds, canals, mangroves or the bay. Even when you don't have an open water view, there's usually something green or blue outside the window.

The community is established, and the mature landscaping is a big part of its appeal. It doesn't have the look or feel of a newer master-planned neighborhood. You're surrounded by palms, tropical vegetation and water, and the farther back you go into the community, the more removed it feels from everything outside the gates.

Points of Interest

  • Anna Maria Island – You're just before the bridge, making the beaches, restaurants and shops on the island easy to get to.
  • Robinson Preserve – One of Northwest Bradenton's best spots for walking, biking, kayaking and enjoying the outdoors.
  • Neal Preserve – Just across the road, with trails, boardwalks and views over Sarasota Bay.
  • Palma Sola Bay – The community's location puts you right in the middle of the water-oriented lifestyle that draws many people to this part of Bradenton. \
  • Perico Bay Club amenities – The main clubhouse and pool are near the front of the community, along with a resident kayak and canoe launch. Different sections within Perico Bay Club also have their own pools and amenities.

What It's Like to Live There

Perico Bay Club is the kind of place where the setting matters as much as the home. The location is hard to overlook. You're close to Anna Maria Island without actually living on the island, and Robinson Preserve and Neal Preserve are practically neighbors. Perico Bay Club includes both condos and villas, with a master association and several sub-associations throughout the community. The main clubhouse and pool are near the front, while the different sections have their own pools. There's also a resident kayak and canoe launch behind the main clubhouse.

A Local Perspective

I've sold five properties in Perico Bay Club—one upstairs condo and four villas toward the back of the community—so I've gotten to see several different sides of it.

The upstairs condo had a screened patio overlooking a pond, and the view was spectacular. You could sit there and watch the birds over the water. The villas I've sold have had everything from canal and large pond views to views toward the bay. In some places the mangroves determine just how much water you can actually see, but that's also part of the natural setting.

I love Perico Bay Club. Even driving into the community feels a little like arriving at a resort near the beach, and once you're farther back among the water, mangroves and mature landscaping, it's easy to forget how close you are to everything else.
